Meet Kellye

My experience as a practitioner has enabled me to serve my community working with adults and children across a diverse clientele population. I manage my professional time working in a variety of professional counseling settings. I work as the Clinical Director of R and M Behavioral Health and Wellness, LLC providing continued support to my staff while also working within my own private practice helping my individual clients address a variety of mental health and wellness goals.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in psychology from Auburn University. I received my master’s degree in Professional Counseling in Clinical Mental Health from the University of West Georgia. In addition to my higher education degrees, I hold a 200-hour yoga instructor certification and was a USAT professional triathlon coach for eleven years. I have taken my unique combined skill set in education, coaching, clinical mental health counseling, and sports background to help clients from all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to unify their mental and physical health connection to move past whatever may be blocking them as individuals from achieving their goals and becoming their best selves. Through an integrative, evidence-based approach, I work with my clients to create their personal preventative mental health plan using a mind-body connection to build self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-love and compassion. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Georgia and Alabama, a National Certified Counselor, an EMDR trained counselor, an ASAM Level 1.0 certified facilitator, and am certified in Psychological First Aid.

When I’ m not working with clients, I enjoy running, spending time with my family, and playing with my English bulldogs, Hudson and Millie.

My Approach

Life does not come with an instruction manual. We all find ourselves at times feeling overwhelmed, lost, or in need to reconnect with ourselves and our goals and values. Whether you are dealing with a significant life issue or want to learn skills and techniques to help you better understand yourself, I will guide you through your individual process. Let’s work together to evaluate what is working in your life and your strengths and areas you’d like to focus on to improve. Through a collaborative approach, we will create goals, and a pathway to enable you to become your best self!

As your counselor, I will help you navigate your journey towards rediscovering yourself. I use an integrative approach that incorporates the best evidence-based therapeutic practice with your individual needs.

I honor your courage to reach out in your journey. I look forward to working with you as we discover your most fulfilled self!
